25 de may. de 2024 · John Hobart, bart., and her descendant, George Robert Hobart, fifth Earl of Buckinghamshire, succeeded to the Hampden possessions. In 1824 by royal licence he took the name of Hampden only, but died in 1849 without direct heirs.
28 de may. de 2024 · It was named Hobart Town after Robert Hobart, 4th earl of Buckinghamshire, then secretary of state for the colonies. In 1804 the settlement was moved to the city’s present site, Sullivans Cove.

28 de may. de 2024 · Hughenden Manor, which was formerly the seat of Benjamin Disraeli Earl of Beaconsfield, is now the property and residence of his nephew Mr. Coningsby Ralph Disraeli. The path down-hill to the northeast of the manor-house leads past the vicarage to the churchyard and church.

John Hobart, 1st Earl of Buckinghamshire, born about 1694, was son of Sir Henry Hobart, and brother of Henrietta, Countess of Suffolk, favourite of George II.
