His father was probably the John Willoughby who was sheriff of Somerset in 1455.

(fn. 98) John Nevill Lord Latimer, son of the above Elizabeth and John, married Maud widow of the Earl of Cambridge, and, having no issue, in 1418 settled his Bedfordshire and other estates on his halfbrother on his father's side, Ralph Earl of Westmorland.
