Hace 5 días · Since the 18th century, sovereigns and their spouses have been buried at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, with the exception of Queen Victoria and Edward VIII, who are interred with other members of the Royal family at Frogmore. Victoria and Albert are interred in the Royal Mausoleum there.

2 de may. de 2024 · Apart from the days Frogmore House and Park are open, you won’t be able to enter the area. There are signs hanging on the fences with warnings. A tiny bit further you will notice the covered roof of the royal mausoleum at Frogmore , which was being restored at the time.

Days after the death of Prince Albert in December 1861 Queen Victoria choose a site for a mausoleum, which now stands on the west side of the gardens at Frogmore House. The building was designed by Professor Ludwig Gruner from Dresden and built by architect A.J. Humbert.
