  1. 22 de may. de 2024 · This grammar school in the Close, of which the choristers were the nucleus, after various changes of name survives as the Cathedral School. It seems to have been re-established in 1540, after 65 years during which no grammar school in Salisbury is recorded.

  2. It consists of one large school-room with dormitory above, which in 1960 retains its original panelling and headmaster's desk. The choristers remained in these premises until 1947 when the school, by then called the Cathedral School, moved to its present home in the bishop's palace (see above).
