Hace 5 días · A thatched lodge west of Standen House was built in the 18th century and was standing in 1997. In 1841 all those buildings, a few other houses, and a club room or school constituted the village. Standen Farm, called the Dower House in 1997, is a brick and flint house of four bays on an L plan.
27 de may. de 2024 · At the beginning of the 18th century when clean water was scarce, water from the hills around Hampstead was collected, bottled, and sold at a local pub then known as the Thatched House. In 1874 the Thatched House at 14 Flask Walk was demolished and replaced by the Flask Tavern, which survives as a pub today.
