Hace 1 día · In 1685 Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Bruce, later Earl of Ailesbury (d. 1741), conveyed Midgehall to Lawrence Hyde, Earl of Rochester (d. 1711). The earl had bought the manor of Wootton Bassett in 1676 and thenceforth Midgehall followed the same descent as that manor.
