Hace 2 días · Northampton's nephew, Thomas Howard, Earl of Suffolk, who had fought against the Armada, succeeded his uncle in the ownership of the house which subsequently became known as Suffolk House. He was created Lord High Treasurer in 1614, but was suspended from office in 1618 for embezzling funds and extorting money unjustly.
