He was sworn in as vice-admiral of the coast of Sussex in 1705, the year in which he moved to No. 12. His more famous sons, Thomas, afterwards Duke of Newcastle, and Henry, probably lived there as children.

  4. 27 de may. de 2024 · Thomas Pelham-Holles, the 1st Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and 1st Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne (plus several other more minor titles) is more commonly remembered by the slightly snappier name of 'Duke of Newcastle'. He was the elder brother of Henry Pelham and succeeded him as Prime Minister in 1754.
