Hace 3 días · Soon after this the manor apparently passed to Sir William Capel who by his will dated 1515 left it to his son Sir Giles Capel. Courts were held in 1520 for the manor of 'Berwick Capel'.

William and his wife Agnes, who may have been a daughter of Walter Estoft, were still in possession of the manor in 1511, but by September 1512 Sir William Capel was lord.
