Hace 6 días · Baldwin, the seventh Earl, was, in 1240, created Earl of the Isle of Wight; his son Baldwin, the last Earl of the family, and the fifth of that Christian name, dying without issue, his sister, Isabel de Fortibus, who had married William de Fortibus, Earl of Albemarle, became Countess of Devon in her own right. She died without issue, in 1292.

    22 de may. de 2024 · He married Euphemia, niece of William, earl of Albemarle, and they had three sons (Robert (III) (d.a.1191), William, Bernard) and a daughter, Agatha, who married Ralph, son of Ribald of Middleham. He probably died on either 17 February or 26 August 1194, perhaps being buried in Guisborough Priory, and was succeeded by his second son, William.
