  2. Hace 2 días · Augustus Keppel, Viscount Keppel, second son of William Anne Keppel, Earl of Albemarle, was born in 1725 and entered the navy at the age of ten. In 1740 he served under Anson in the celebrated voyage round the world, and in 1744 was promoted to be commander and post-captain.

    Hace 1 día · He married Euphemia, niece of William, earl of Albemarle, and they had three sons (Robert (III) (d.a.1191), William, Bernard) and a daughter, Agatha, who married Ralph, son of Ribald of Middleham. He probably died on either 17 February or 26 August 1194, perhaps being buried in Guisborough Priory, and was succeeded by his second son, William.

He was put on the Council of Wales in 1590, and with the death of the 2nd Earl of Pembroke in 1601 secured the omission of Monmouthshire and Glamorgan from the commission of Pembroke's successor at Ludlow.
