15 de may. de 2024 · Margaret Maxwell was the daughter of Sir John Maxwell and Agnes Herries, Baroness Herries of Terregles.1 She married Mark Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian, son of Mark Kerr and Helen Leslie. She died on 8 January 1617.

After his death, His son William, 5th Lord Herries (d. 1604), was, like his father, warden of the west marches. Sir John Maxwell was born circa 1512.
