24 de may. de 2024 · John Russell, 1st Earl Russell was the prime minister of Great Britain (1846–52, 1865–66), an aristocratic liberal and leader of the fight for passage of the Reform Bill of 1832. Russell was the third son of John Russell, 6th Duke of Bedford.

Hace 6 días · The first Duke died in 1700 and was succeeded by his grandson, Lord Russell's son, Wriothesley, who died in 1711 and was followed by his son, another Wriothesley. The third Duke died without issue in 1732, and his brother, John, became the fourth holder of the title.

These reports show that the Dukes' income was enormous and that between 1816 and 1892 it almost trebled.
