20 de may. de 2024 · The house was built between 1701 and 1731 for Charles the third Earl of Carlisle on the site of the castle and chapel of Henderskelfe, the architect being Sir John Vanbrugh. The west front was rebuilt by Carr of York soon after the middle of the 18th century.
