28 de abr. de 2024 · A royal residence. Only in 1792 it became a country retreat for Queen Charlotte and her unmarried daughters. Charlotte had architect James Wyatt enlarge and modernise the house. In 1818 it became the residence of Princess Augusta, and as off 1840 of the Duchess of Kent, the mother of Queen Victoria, who died here in 1861.
2 de may. de 2024 · Apart from the days Frogmore House and Park are open, you won’t be able to enter the area. There are signs hanging on the fences with warnings. A tiny bit further you will notice the covered roof of the royal mausoleum at Frogmore , which was being restored at the time.
