  1. Hace 4 días · George John Spencer, 2nd Earl Spencer, was born in 1758 and educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge. After a period of two years abroad he entered parliament in 1780 as member for Northampton, and in 1782 was returned for Surrey. In 1783 he succeeded to the earldom.
