19 de may. de 2024 · Lillian Roth was reportedly PISSED that La Hayward chose to do her own singing for the film. That's understandable but Susan surprisingly sounded good in "I'll Cry Tomorrow". I wish that she had done her own singing for "Valley Of The Dolls" as well. Ms. Roth had a short career in movies at the beginning of the "Talkie" Era.

14 de may. de 2024 · Another jewel from FSM, I went gah-gah for this upon its release in 2004. Alex North was largely unknown to me, but hearing I'll Cry Tomorrow's main title on the 1999 Rhino MGM compilation got me interested in his work. I also liked I'll Cry Tomorrow's similarity to A Streetcar Named Desire with its swanky, jazzy feeling.
