Beginning her career in the late 1960s, she quickly became known for her smooth, warm voice – and though she is remembered primarily as a singer, she was also a very talented drummer, noted for her impeccable timing and technical proficiency.
Karen Carpenter. I’ve heard she’s one of the best drummers. I’ve seen the dancing in the street video, and I’ve heard about her studio work. From a novice drummer, is she really as good as I think she is. From what I’ve seen she’s great. But I’m also a DMB fan and Carter Beauford is my favorite drummer. So I don’t know if I’m biased or something.
