I do have to admit I’m not the biggest Kirsten Dunst fan. I know she’s an indie star, and widely beloved, but outside of Virgin Suicides I’ve seen very few roles where I think she adds anything. She rules here. This movie largely depends on her ability to convey being physically present but spiritually dead.
