26 de abr. de 2024 · Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947) was not afraid of a little color and this new show collects 60 of his most vibrant works, depicting scenes from his homes in Paris, Normandy, and the French Riviera.
Hace 2 días · Like Carrie Vaughn, Pierre Bonnard spent much of his time outdoors, and wrote in his journal in 1932: “Show nature when it’s beautiful. Everything has its moment of beauty.” He was known to take long walks in nature, absorbing the scenery, pondering his paintings, and making brief sketches before going home to dream up his compositions from memory.

16 de may. de 2024 · Pierre Bonnard (1867–1947), le « Nabi très japonard » : son surnom, dégoté par le critique d’art Félix Fénéon, est resté célèbre. Pourtant, aussi étonnant que cela puisse paraître, aucune exposition n’avait encore mis en lumière l’influence du Japon dans l’œuvre du peintre.
