It's been a tough year for the veteran broadcaster thanks to some heartbreaking health battles, with Tony forced to take a leave of absence from his BBC Radio 2 show and cancel other gigs in order to deal with an ongoing health issue.

Hace 4 días · 4 March – Tony Blackburn succeeds Brian Matthew as presenter of BBC Radio 2 's Sounds of the 60s. The two-hour show also moves to the earlier time of 6 am, and Zoe Ball rejoins the station on permanent basis to host a new Saturday mid-afternoon show, while Dermot O'Leary takes over from Anneka Rice on Saturday weekend breakfast.
