  1. That's not a second state butcher cover. It's either a first state (never had the trunk cover pasted over it) or a third state (trunk cover has been removed). Second state means the trunk cover is still pasted over the butcher, and you can see the butcher cover underneath.

According to Robert Freeman, he intended for the semaphore letters to spell out “HELP,” but changed the Beatles' arms around because “the arrangement of the arms with those letters didn't look good.”
