11 de may. de 2024 · One of those was the essay “ A Life of Struggle: Farewell to Herman Gorter” by Anton Pannekoek. One of Gorter’s closest friends and a talented theoretician, Pannkeok deeply appreciated the breadth of his companions’ works as well as their artistic and political significance.

27 de may. de 2024 · An international team of astronomers, including Saugata Barat and Jean-Michel Désert of the University of Amsterdam, used the Hubble Space telescope to delve into the atmosphere of exoplanet V1298 Tau b, revealing the first ever transmission spectrum of a young planet. Their results were published in Nature Astronomy on 9 May.

27 de may. de 2024 · The sample comprises a total of 397 members, with 305 (~77%) identified as hot subdwarf stars, including 83 newly discovered systems. Of these, we observe that 178 (~58%) are hydrogen-rich sdBs, 65 are sdOBs (~21%), 32 are sdOs (~11%), and 30 are He-sdO/Bs (~10%).
