6 de may. de 2024 · George Clinton was inspired to write “Maggot Brain” after a conversation with Eddie Hazel, who had been considering quitting the band. Clinton pleaded with him to stay and encouraged him to think about playing guitar as if his mother had just died. This conversation and Hazel’s subsequent guitar contribution gave birth to “Maggot Brain.”
