The human dimension of the project" at Maxxi museum in Rome aims to retrace the successful professional career of studio Aalto filtered through the relationship with Italy, which is significant and long-lasting.
20 de may. de 2024 · Alvar Aalto himself received the first medal in 1967. The internationally renowned prize is awarded every few years. The 15th Alvar Aalto Medal will be awarded at the Alvar Aalto Symposium in Jyväskylä on 22.8.2024.
11 de may. de 2024 · In 1955, Alvar and Elissa Aalto were commissioned to design a small pavilion for the Finnish exhibits at the biennial international art exhibitions in Giardini, Venice. They came up with the idea of a wedge-shaped structure that could be assembled using light, dismountable wall, and roof units made in Finland and then transported to Italy.
