  2. Hace 2 días · On 20 July 1841 Russell remarried, to Lady Frances ("Fanny") Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, daughter of Russell's cabinet colleague Gilbert Elliot, 2nd Earl of Minto. Together they had four children: John Russell, Viscount Amberley (10 December 1842 – 9 January 1876). He married The Hon. Katherine Stanley on 8 November 1864.

  7. 16 de may. de 2024 · Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 4th Earl of Minto was the 17th Viceroy of India. He also served as the 8th Governor-General of Canada before becoming the viceroy. He was held responsible for introducing the policy of ‘Divide and Rule’ in India through the Morley-Minto reforms.
