Starting in 2020, Landis' name no longer appears on the MVP plaque after the BBWAA received complaints from several former MVP winners about Landis' role against the integration of MLB.

On March 12, 1921 Judge Landis placed the eight players accused, on the ‘ineligible list’ and he commented that there was no guarantee that the players would be reinstated even if they were acquitted.
