18 de may. de 2024 · The ascent, on 14 July 1865, was a success: on the way back down, however, four of the climbers fell to their deaths, including Michel-Auguste Croz, a mountain guide from Chamonix. His gravestone stands beside that of the two Taugwalders.

Hace 4 días · First ascents. At 4,478 metres, this four-thousander was first climbed by a roped party of seven alpinists. On the descent, the four climbers at the front of the party (Michel Croz, Douglas Robert Hadow, Charles Hudson and Francis Douglas) fell to their deaths on the North face.

Todo lo que sea fuera de la avenida principal, de las tiendas y lejos del centro siempre será mucho más barato. Otra buena opción, son los campings de alrededor. Cretes Blanches.
