About the Sky Guy. The SKYGUY is John S. Gianforte, an Astronomer, Director of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Observatory, and Astronomy Instructor at UNH. He is also a Science Writer, and Adjunct Faculty member at Granite State College, in New Hampshire.
