I sang classical music, and I sang Brazilian music, but I never got into heavy straight-ahead swing until my freshman year at Oberlin Conservatory in 2019.” He won a full scholarship to Oberlin, and studied there with vocalist La Tanya Hall, percussionist Jamey Haddad, and trombonist/arranger Jay Ashby.

24 de may. de 2024 · An Oberlin jazz ensemble will begin performing at 9:30 p.m. Immediately following the jazz performance, Oberlin Steel will perform on the steps of Finney Chapel in the tradition of great steel bands of Trinidad with arrangements of salsa, calypso, and jazz tunes, as well as original compositions and arrangements by band members.

He is a member of the Oberlin Jazz Ensemble and has participated in more than six jazz combos ranging in style including fusion, free jazz, soul, samba, New Orleans jazz, and more.
