18 de may. de 2024 · The transition in calendars by the Protestant dominated British Empire in 1752 came one hundred and seventy years after the new style was first introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582. Countries of Catholic influence were much quicker to adopt the new calendar, while Protestant and other non-Catholic countries made the change much slower.
