Parsons and Ross had been together for several years, and their relationship was often tumultuous. In late 1968, Ross moved to New York City to pursue a career in modeling, and Parsons stayed in Los Angeles to focus on music.

The only kink in this armor is that unfortunately the only other Burrito constant during the Parsons-era, “Sneaky” Pete Kleinow, is not on the “Byrds” outfit, but he wasn’t much of a creative force anyway. His inclusion would have still been appreciated.
