Some may say it is well suited to VDGG and their darker/angrier moments, others think it is a brooding menace that gives his more stripped back acoustic songs another layer to unwrap. This, his first solo album, could be called his hippie/Kevin Ayers effort.

Peter Hammill is the greatest singer-songwriter of our times. PH is deep, introspective, cerebral yet romantic at times, whispering yet tearing your ear drums, gentle yet rocking when it feels like it. As a proper Man-Erg, substancially watered down but still always Out of Water at every time. Always changing but always staying true to himself.
