By virtue of the hierarchy of expectations his seems at first hearing to be the lead voice.

A playful take on classic jazz rolls through as Radam Schwartz draws from the beloved tradition of dialogue on “Saxophone Quartet Music.” The songs possess an undue amount of lyricism. Nods to groups like the World Saxophone Quartet and Rova Saxophone Quartet appear to bloom throughout.

Recorded in February, 2003 and August, 2011, the disc includes the long-awaited release of the Larry Ochs composition Certain Space, along with recent works by Steve Adams and Jon Raskin.
Hace 1 día · It seems as though he’s managed to grow a unique practice of music-making, and one that is very efficient; I have seen, years ago, the ROVA Saxophone Quartet, who are very good players indeed, but looked ever so slightly clumsy on stage as they held up various coloured cards for the other players to see as they signalled their changes.
