2 de jul. de 2024 · The manor of Marks (in Romford-town ward) was the property of Thomas Urswyck, recorder of London, who died seised of it in 1479, leaving five daughters, coheirs (fn. 19). The next owner upon record is Sir George Hervey, Lieutenant of the Tower of London, who died seised of it in 1605 (fn. 20).

From 1204 to 1344 the High Sheriff of Staffordshire also served as Sheriff of Shropshire .
