Hace 3 días · The ten inns open for Sir Sampson Gideon's friends included, besides the 'Rose', the 'Eagle and Child', the 'Red Lion', and the 'Castle' in St. Andrew's Street. Music-lovers also forgathered at the Cambridge inns in the 18th and early 19th centuries.

Hace 1 día · Chesterton National school, later known as St. Andrew's, was opened in Chesterton High Street in 1844 and enlarged several times later in the century. It contained about 370 children in 1911. From 1932 it was restricted to juniors only.

From the middle years of the twentieth century onwards, God caused the church to grow, with a strong emphasis on Bible teaching ministry, both to students and year-round Cambridge residents.

Wendy's, which sells burgers, chicken, and much more, will be opening on St Andrew's Street. The restaurant, which will be eat-in and takeaway, is set to be fit with comfortable seating and self-order kiosks.
22 de may. de 2024 · The college is notable as the only one founded by Cambridge townspeople: it was established in 1352 by the Guild of Corpus Christi and the Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary, making it the sixth-oldest college in Cambridge.
