9 de may. de 2024 · Do kolejnej wielkiej katastrofy doszło siedem lat po feralnym locie „Kopernika”. IŁ-62M „Tadeusz Kościuszko” należący do Polskich Linii Lotniczych LOT wystartował z Okęcia do Nowego Jorku o godzinie 10.18 9 maja 1987 r. Na pokładzie była jedenastoosobowa załoga i 172 pasażerów.
