7 de may. de 2024 · The chapter on ‘Love’ seems less successful, for it omits all mention of Beethoven’s passionate letters to Josephine Deym, and at one point relies on a faulty transcription of his letter to the Immortal Beloved (‘werde ich machen’ becomes ‘I shall arrange it’, p. 46, when the original actually reads ‘rede ich mache’, which rather reverses the sense of the comment).
