Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, will ordain three men to the priesthood during a Presbyteral Ordination on Saturday, May 25, at 10 a.m., and three transitional deacons during a Diaconate Ordination on Sunday, May 19, at noon.
10 de may. de 2024 · On June 8, the cardinal will ordain Sean Embury to the priesthood at a 10 a.m. Mass at his home parish, St. Gabriel’s in Poway. Both ordinations will be livestreamed at sdcatholic.org. The upcoming ordination to the permanent diaconate will be the first to be held in the diocese since 2022.

Some of them have been in formation since graduating high school. Some discerned their calling to the presbyterate much later. The group contains natives of the Philippines and Iceland.

15 de may. de 2024 · The Archdiocese of Chicago, as part of this year’s Diaconate Ordination, ordained 12 men as permanent deacons and two men as transitional deacons on May 11, 2024 at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. Cardinal Cupich was the principal celebrant and homilist.
14 de may. de 2024 · Three new transitional deacons will be ordained on Sunday, May 18, in the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, will ordain Michael Bollinger, Giovanni Cuzziol, and Raymond Walsh.

Saturday, we had the joy of ordaining six of our seminarians as transitional deacons for the Archdiocese of Boston. These are the men who, God willing, will be ordained to the priesthood next year.
