TIL- Pocahontas had one son with her second husband John Rolfe. That son, had one daughter named Jane Rolfe. In 1887, a book was published that found that Pocahontas had thousands of descendants. Hace 4 días · In April 1613, when Pocahontas became a captive of Captain Samuel Argall in Jamestown, she met John Rolfe. John Rolfe, who had recently come to England to try some tobacco, became interested in Pocahontas when she was about 18 and he was 28.

Rolfe was coming over to Virginia to farm tobacco, but he lost his wife and child on the journey across the ocean. The two were eventually married on April 5, 1614, and their son, Thomas, was born about a year later.
