In Once Upon a Time and Twisted Wonderland, two Disney properties that show Maleficent having children, the child hatches from an egg. I don't know if its ever said how Mal was born, but both Lily (OUaT, proto-Mal) and Malleus ( TW, actually her grandson) were said in-story to have been hatched.

Jafar released the Jabberwocky by releasing the Vorpal Blade that pinned her to a wall, but he kept the blade, so he could have an advantage over her. Jafar guessed that the Jabberwocky feared being a slave to Jafar, since he had control of the Vorpal Blade.
