When I talk to my friends about The Byrds, if they don’t recall the band, I would say “Mr. Tambourine Man” and immediately that rings the bells … of Rhymney. I love the music and albums of the Byrds, as you can see below. Roger McGuinn kindly and patiently signed all seventeen CD covers at my home (above image).

The attitude surrounding these recordings shows how much Page and Co. cared about the sound they were putting into the world. It will no doubt have sold well because of the band’s excellent reputation as a live act, but it was about more than money for them.
