Who Is Smothers Brothers? The Smothers Brothers are musicians, folk singers, and comedians from the United States. Richard (Dick) was born on November 20, 1938, and Thomas (Tom) was born on February 2, 1937. The brothers were known for their double act, in which they played folk songs. Tommy plays acoustic guitar on it, and Dick plays double bass.
