She ensured the Salihiyya's dominance of the paramilitary elite, and inaugurated patronage and kinship ties with the Salihiyya. In particular, she cultivated close ties with the Jamdari (pl. The first Sultan of the Mamluks in Egypt, Al-Malik Al-Mu'izz, was killed by his wife, Queen Shajar al-Durr. The reason was that Shajar al-Durr found out that Al-Malik Al-Mu'izz desired to marry the daughter of the Governor of Mosul.

7 de jun. de 2024 · Shajar al-Durr was a ruler of Egypt. She was the wife of As-Salih Ayyub, the last Egyptian sultan of the Ayyubid dynasty, and later of Izz al-Din Aybak, the first sultan of the Bahri dynasty. Prior to becoming Ayyub's wife, she was a child slave and Ayyub's concubine.
