Drishti (transl. Vision) is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Govind Nihalani, starring Dimple Kapadia, Shekhar Kapur and Irrfan. The film depicts the marital life of an urban couple from an upper-class milieu in Mumbai and follow their trials and tribulations, infidelity, divorce, and meeting after years of separation.

Synopsis. Sandhya and Nikhil have been married for eight years and live a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay, along with a daughter, Rashmi. However, their lives change when Nikhil has an affair with his assistant Vrinda and divorces Sandhya. Cast.
Drishti is Govind Nihalani's take on modern marriage. The film presents a critical commentary on the institution, its pros and cons, its inability to last without active maintenance, and the difficulty involved in sustaining a relationship, which is forever fragile and prone to damage, miscommunication, and infidelity.
