Division of Medicine Postgraduate (Taught Programmes) divmed.postgrad@ucl.ac.uk. Our master's degrees reflect our wide range of scientific, clinical, and educational specialties. Some are also available as Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate awards.
It is common to put the name of the awarding institute in brackets after the degree abbreviation, e.g. BA (Lond). A list of standard abbreviations for British universities can be found at Universities in the United Kingdom § Post-nominal abbreviations .
MB BS is used at all medical schools currently or previously part of the University of London (aka The United Hospitals) ( Imperial College School of Medicine, UCL Medical School, King's College London School of Medicine, Barts and The London School of Medicine and St George's, University of London ).
He took the degrees of B.Sc. and M.D. at the University of London with distinction, for he obtained the gold medals and was awarded a scholarship. [1] In 1886, he was elected F.R.C.S. Eng. , and settled in Manchester , where he was appointed assistant surgeon to the Royal Infirmary .
