Paul Jabara & Friends was released in 1983 on the CBS Records label, with guest vocalists including The Weather Girls and Leata Galloway. It also features vocals of a 16-year-old (when recorded) relatively unknown R&B singer named Whitney Houston .
The opening sequence of the video features the Weather Girls in a news station. The duo give a forecast prediction that it will rain men from the sky. After looking out of the station window to see the sky raining men, the Weather Girls leap out of the window with their umbrellas to join the men.
The original Weather Girls' recording of "It's Raining Men" was included on Jabara's 1983 album Paul Jabara & Friends, which included one of the early recordings by then 19-year-old Whitney Houston on "Eternal Love" (previously recorded by Stephanie Mills) as well as a Jabara/Diana Ross co
