YUI Orta was released as a joint album by Hunter and Ronson in 1990, and the pair performed alongside David Bowie and Queen at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in April 1992. Ronson died of liver cancer a year later, and Hunter gave his memorial speech.

4 de ene. de 2022 · THE ARTIST: The sideman’s sideman, flamboyant bottle-blond guitarist Mick Ronson worked with everyone from Morrissey to Mellencamp, but he is best known for backing David Bowie (in The Spiders From Mars) and Ian Hunter (during and after Mott the Hoople ).
Exactly one year after his death following a long battle with cancer, an all-star concert was staged at London's prestigious Hammersmith Apollo theatre in tribute to Mick Ronson.
