Father Brown (German: Pater Brown) is a West German mystery television series which aired between 1966 and 1972 on ARD. It is based on the Father Brown stories of British writer G.K. Chesterton, about a crime-solving Catholic priest. The title role was played by the Austrian actor Josef Meinrad.

Father Brown is a short, plain Roman Catholic priest, with shapeless clothes, a large umbrella, and an uncanny insight into human behaviour. His unremarkable, seemingly naïve appearance hides an unexpectedly sharp intelligence and keen powers of observation.
Father Brown: Created by Rachel Flowerday, Tahsin Guner. With Mark Williams, John Burton, Sorcha Cusack, Jack Deam. In the early 1950s, Father Brown, a Roman Catholic priest based in the fictional Cotswold village of Kembleford, uses his distinctive skills to solve various crimes.
