First Impressions of Earth is the third studio album by American rock band the Strokes. It was released through RCA Records first on December 30, 2005, in Germany, and on January 3, 2006, elsewhere. Three singles were released from the album: "Juicebox", "Heart in a Cage", and "You Only Live Once".

En el caso de The Strokes, por lo general la pelea está entre los tres primeros: Is This It, Room on Fire y First Impressions of Earth, por más que Angles, el cuarto, no se quede atrás.
First Impressions of Earth es el álbum más variado y largo en la carrera de The Strokes. Refleja perfectamente los meses difíciles por los que atravesaron, la ambición de querer comerse el mundo, pero al mismo tiempo la confusión de no saber cómo hacerlo.
